40 practical answers about Niagara Falls tours, Toronto Christmas experiences, pickup, attractions and booking.
Choosing a tour
What is a Niagara Falls tour from Toronto?
A Niagara Falls tour from Toronto is a day trip that starts in Toronto and travels to the Falls region. Travaza's coach product combines round-trip transport with guided sightseeing; attraction admissions depend on your selected package.
Which Niagara tour should I choose?
Choose a coach day trip for a shared guided outing, a private tour for a custom plan, or a winter evening tour for seasonal lights. Compare meeting points, inclusions and return arrangements before booking.
Is the boat cruise included?
Only if your selected package expressly includes Niagara City Cruises admission. The base sightseeing option does not automatically include it. Check your date because boat operation is seasonal and weather-dependent.
Is Journey Behind the Falls included?
Only if it is listed in the package you select. Journey admission and boat admission are separate experiences; one is not automatically included with the other.
Can I book transport and sightseeing without an attraction?
Choose the sightseeing-only package if it is available for your departure. Its inclusion list shows exactly what your ticket covers, with attraction admissions separate unless stated otherwise.
Are prices in Canadian dollars?
Travaza tour pricing is presented in Canadian dollars unless the booking system explicitly states otherwise. Check whether the amount is per person or per vehicle and review taxes and mandatory fees before paying.
Is lunch included?
Lunch is separate unless your selected package explicitly includes it. On a sightseeing day trip, you can use the scheduled free time to purchase a meal. Do not assume lunch is included because a restaurant appears in a photograph.
Pickup & timing
Where do Niagara Falls tours leave from in Toronto?
The main daily coach departure uses 55 York Street beside Tim Hortons. Other products may use different meeting points. Follow the exact pickup location and instructions on your booking confirmation.
What time should I arrive for the morning Niagara coach?
For the main 8:30 a.m. coach departure at 55 York Street, check in from 8:00 to 8:15 a.m. Boarding closes at 8:15 a.m. If your confirmation assigns another pickup, use that pickup's instructions.
Is 8:30 a.m. the check-in time?
No. It is the scheduled departure time for the main morning coach. Check-in and boarding finish earlier. Allow enough time to reach your meeting point and complete check-in.
Do you collect guests from every Toronto hotel?
Do not assume hotel pickup is included. Only pickup options offered for the selected product and confirmed in your booking apply. Contact reservations if you are unsure which meeting point to choose.
How long does the Niagara Falls day trip take?
It is a full-day outing. Use the duration and estimated return listed for your selected departure; travel time, attraction schedules and traffic affect the day. Avoid booking a tightly timed onward connection immediately afterward.
Is the return time guaranteed?
No. Return times are estimates and depend on traffic, weather and the itinerary. Allow a buffer before theatre tickets, flights or other fixed commitments.
What if I arrive after boarding closes?
Call reservations using the contact on your confirmation. A departure cannot be assumed to wait. Missed-departure arrangements and any new ticket requirement follow the terms of your booking.
Where do I meet the group after free time?
Your guide gives a meeting place and time for reboarding. Note both before leaving the group and allow time to walk back. If you are unsure, ask before heading off.
Attractions & itinerary
Does the Toronto tour cross into the United States?
The Canadian-side Niagara Falls tour stays in Canada. It does not include a USA border crossing. Other products, if offered, have their own routes and requirements.
Do I need a passport for the Canadian-side tour?
There is no border crossing on this route, so a passport is not needed for a tour-related crossing. You remain responsible for any identification and immigration requirements that apply to your wider travel.
Is Niagara City Cruises the Maid of the Mist?
No. Niagara City Cruises operates the sightseeing boat experience on the Canadian side. Maid of the Mist is the USA-side operation. Check your tour's country and included operator before booking.
Does the boat operate every day of the year?
No. Service is seasonal and depends on the operator's schedule and conditions. Check whether the boat package is offered for your travel date. Do not assume a fixed opening or closing date from a previous year.
What happens if a booked attraction cannot operate?
The options depend on the attraction, the selected package and its booking terms. Contact reservations for the arrangements applicable to your booking. An automatic substitute or refund should not be assumed unless the terms provide it.
Will I have free time at Niagara Falls?
The day-tour itinerary includes free time as listed in your selected product. The available time depends on the route and any booked attractions. Your guide explains the day's meeting and reboarding arrangements.
Does the tour visit Niagara-on-the-Lake?
Only when your selected itinerary explicitly includes it for your date. Some routes or seasonal schedules do not. If a town visit is essential, choose a product listing that stop or request it in a private itinerary.
Are the Floral Clock and Whirlpool always photo stops?
The selected itinerary identifies which sights are stops and which are drive-bys. Conditions and seasonal access can change the route. A scenic drive does not mean the vehicle stops at every landmark.
Do pre-booked tickets remove every queue?
No. Pre-arranged admission may avoid a ticket-purchase queue where offered, but boarding, security, elevator and other operational queues may still apply. Priority access exists only where specifically included.
Comfort & accessibility
How much walking is involved?
Walking is required at viewpoints and attractions, and routes may include uneven or wet surfaces. The amount depends on the tour and attractions selected. Contact reservations before booking if you need a more precise suitability check.
Are the vehicles wheelchair accessible?
Accessibility must be checked against the actual assigned vehicle and itinerary. Do not assume a lift or step-free boarding is available. Contact reservations before booking with your requirements and mobility-aid details.
Can I bring a walker or other mobility aid?
Ask reservations before booking. Storage space, boarding steps and walking surfaces affect suitability, and some walking experiences may not be appropriate. Provide the type and dimensions of your aid so the team can check.
Can I bring a stroller or luggage?
Contact reservations in advance. Storage and folding requirements vary by vehicle and tour. Permission on one shuttle does not mean luggage or an unfolded stroller is accepted on every service.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear comfortable shoes and bring layers, your booking confirmation and a charged phone. Add sun protection in warm weather and gloves and warm outerwear in winter. Conditions near the Falls can be wet and breezy.
Will I get wet on the boat?
Mist and spray are part of the boat experience. Follow the attraction's advice and protect your phone and belongings. Any poncho provision should be checked in the selected attraction's inclusions.
Are children welcome?
Check the selected product's age categories and suitability notes. Children must travel with an adult. Ask about child seating and vehicle arrangements before booking rather than assuming equipment is available.
Is Wi-Fi or a washroom guaranteed on the vehicle?
Amenities depend on the vehicle assigned. Only amenities expressly confirmed for your departure should be relied upon. Contact reservations if a particular facility is essential to your travel.
Winter experiences
Can I visit Niagara Falls in winter?
Yes, a winter tour offers a different Falls experience. Check the operating dates and itinerary for the selected product, dress for outdoor conditions and review which attractions are available for that date.
Are fireworks included every evening?
No. Fireworks viewing is possible only on officially scheduled display nights and remains subject to conditions and cancellation. The winter lights experience should not be booked on the assumption of nightly fireworks.
What is the Toronto Winter Lights & Scavenger Hunt?
It is a festive 60–90 minute bus adventure with a live host, seasonal lights and a missing-star mystery. Expect clues, teamwork and short outdoor portions. Check the selected date and pickup before booking.
Is the scavenger hunt suitable for children, and do we need an app?
Children can participate with an adult, with younger players receiving reading help and hints. Bring one charged smartphone with mobile data per team. No app download is required for the current experience.
Does the Distillery shuttle include Winter Village admission?
No. The shuttle covers the selected transportation service. Winter Village admission is separate when required. Check the venue's official admission information and your shuttle's return-ticket arrangements before travelling.
Booking & private groups
How do I book or get help with an existing reservation?
Open the dates and prices for your chosen tour and complete the connected Bókun booking process. For help, call 1-866-979-1181 or email reservations@travaza.com with your reference, lead traveller name and date. If you booked through another seller, that seller may need to handle changes.
What are the cancellation and date-change rules?
Rules depend on the product and booking channel. Review the exact cancellation deadline, refund terms and date-change conditions before payment. Private tours may have different terms. Do not assume another company's cancellation policy applies.
Can I arrange a private tour for my family or company?
Yes, request a quote with your date, group size, pickup and preferred stops. The proposal should identify the vehicle, included hours, attraction admissions, taxes, fees and cancellation terms. The group is confirmed only through the agreed booking process.
